Asia
Asia is our Bengal cat. She is the first Bengal we have ever
owned but will not be the last. Bengals are a very intriguing
breed, created by breeding an Asian Leopard Cat to a domestic
cat and then breeding them for several generations. Bengals tend
to be good with kids and dogs and very inquisitive, interactive
pets. Asia is certainly no exception. She is great with Michael,
loves the dogs, and is very social. Unlike many cats, Asia is
not spooky and prefers to stand her ground rather then run - one
of the reasons they are so good with dogs. The amazing thing to
me is that not matter how rough Michael might get she will not
scratch or bite him in anger. However, You do have to watch your
toes when she is in a feisty mood! Bengals take up to 3 years to
develop their full coloration, and we are enjoying watching
Asia's coat get richer and more bold as she grows. She is 6
months old right now.
