Welcome to SouthHouse Farms

 SouthHouse Farms is located in Northeastern Missouri. The name SouthHouse comes from our last name Sorhus ( Sørhus) which means South House in Norwegian. We have Basenji dogs, horses, Minature Jersey cows, fish, and a Bengal cat. We do not raise a large number of animals since we prefer to have quality over quantity. The dogs we do have are from responsible breeders where temperament and health have tremendous bearing on the breeding programs. We do occasionally have Basenji puppies available. Come in and see our  Basenjis .  Our dogs are pets first and foremost, but we also compete in the conformation and obedience ring.

Horses
Currently we have a Fjord mare, Quarter gelding, and pony for our son.

Fish
We keep and breed African Cichlids. Currently we have Frontosa , Calvus, plecos and Blue Dolphins

 
Bengal Cat

We have a Bengal cat named Asia. She is a brown spotted girl and about 6 months old.
